Goal: New brand for a new name

Colorful is a complete photo studio in your browser. All your product photography, with just a couple of clicks. With a simple drag-and-drop interface, a library full of 3D objects, and endless lighting options, you can take world-class photos on your own, on a small budget.

The assignment
The start-up changed name from Zerolens to Colorful. We were brought on to create a new identity fro this new name. The goals was to fit right into the tech start-up world, and still be head and shoulders above the competition.

The story

Colorful believes that creating amazing visual content should be dead easy.

The Colorful brand is about simplicity. We make it easy for your customers to dip their toes into 3D. We make it easy to produce amazing visual content. The studio interface speaks for itself. Our messaging is short, sweet and to the point. Life is made simple.

Colorful breeds creativity. The results are beautiful, striking, aesthetically pleasing visuals. But we’re not in control of the output. We are the vessel, the facilitator, the paintbrush with which to inspire creativity in your users.

Colorful is a pioneer. On the cutting edge of new technology, exploring new options, always looking for the next thing. we are a curious and helpful trailblazer, clearing a path so that others can follow us into new worlds. Where to next?

Logo
The icon and wordmark are all about reaching a higher level. Leveling up in product photography, in your business, in your technological advancement. The C is coming out of the mists into clarity. Up above the clouds. The lock-up makes a powerful combination where the icon can be both image and letter. The icon and wordmark are also easily used and recognized when used stand-alone.

Identity
The main brand graphics are heavily distorted 3D models of packaging pulled to the extreme brand colors of Punk Pink, Buzzing Blue and Hella Yellow. We’ve captured the images with a very narrow field of focus leaving most of the image out of focus. The colors and the rendered texture positions the brand graphics as subservient to the crisp, crystal clear imagery that their tool produces. Colorful is merely the vessel, the framework in which the users create the true magic.

These graphics are used in a variety of ways to portray a recognizable and consistent brand image.
